i always find sanji's and chopper's backstory sadder than nami and robin cos sanji's is something you can experience. i mean the sacrifice's and love a person gives you, then having to say goodbye to them after a long time. i havent experienced things like death of a close family member in the last 5 years. so that pain is always hard to understand even though i do feel sad at deaths, it doesnt hit as hard as the sadness you have already experienced. chopper's is sadder bcos of how adorable chopper is . I also havent experience being shunned by everyone , so i dont know that pain too
